beach, books and love

by all means, this was not your normal sunday date. if i told you to picture a reading afternoon in a city where going out means you’ll get sweaty as hell, you probably wouldn’t think of going to the beach right away. yet, this is what i did. frida was meeting with her friend, danny; and they settled the hour at a generous 17h30.

keep in mind, i was not invited to this rendezvous. i was actually looking forward to finish reading harry potter and the chamber of secrets in my living room. as the hour draw closer, frida told me she was somewhat worried that danny was running a little bit late. now, normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but given the current situation of our hometown (and country, for that matter), i was also wary of her being there waiting on her own.

so there we were on our way to the beach. i must confess, there’s a certain breeze always running on the shore that would, in fact, perfectly hide the hellish weather we must face everyday and all the time. in hindsight, the beach is not such a bad place to just sit and read. sit and wait. sit and accompany your girlfriend.

kudos to the stupid seagull that shat on my while reading. you missed my book, which is what matters.

i took another instax here, where danny is nowhere to be seen. i blame the glare of the sun, though.
